North Scottsdale
Desert living with big views and quiet: master-planned communities, custom estates and wide-open space.
North Scottsdale is a broad term. It runs roughly from Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard north to Carefree Highway: long north to south and narrow east to west. It includes communities like DC Ranch, Silverleaf, Troon and McDowell Mountain Ranch, each with its own page.
This is desert living. You'll find master-planned neighborhoods, condos, and custom estates on an acre or more, some still on dirt roads, with big views and real quiet. It feels like the edge of the city, because it is.
The trade-off is the drive. Expect about 15 extra minutes to the airport or downtown, more depending on how far north you are.
