Old Town Scottsdale
Scottsdale's walkable heart: restaurants, shopping and nightlife, with everything from historic homes to new townhomes.
Old Town is the most active part of Scottsdale. Shopping, restaurants and bars are packed into a small area, Scottsdale Fashion Square is close by, and there are always people out. South of Indian School Road it keeps its Western feel; north of it you'll find the newer entertainment district and hotels.
You can find almost every kind of home here except a sprawling estate: small condos, lofts above shops on Scottsdale Road, patio homes, new townhomes near the center, waterfront residences, and single-family homes from the 1950s and 1960s. Villa Monterey, a 55+ community, is known for low HOAs and easy walks to shops and restaurants.
If you want to walk to dinner and leave the car in the garage, this is the place. The airport is about 15 minutes away, and Arcadia and McCormick Ranch are close too.
